To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Overseas Chinese University and showcase the international teaching achievements of the School of Arts. On October 19, 2023, the Art College held the opening ceremony of the "Second Student Environmental Design Exhibition" in the Art Corridor on the second floor of Building 5. The opening ceremony invited Vice President Feng Xiao of Shanghai Overseas Chinese Vocational and Technical University, Dean Kong Jin of the School of Arts, and representatives of relevant teachers and students to participate together. This exhibition is guided by foreign teacher PARISSA TEHRANIZADEH from the School of Art, with the theme of "Vertical Design of Villas and Gardens". Students from Class 1, 2, and 3 of the 22 year Environmental Art College will participate in the creation.
At the opening ceremony, Dean Kong Jin first delivered a speech. Dean Kong Jin said, "Coinciding with the 30th anniversary celebration of Overseas Chinese University, this exhibition fully showcases the charm and value of environmental art and design. It will help promote the development and popularization of art education, improve the public's understanding and appreciation of art. At the same time, we hope that teachers and students can draw inspiration from these works and contribute their efforts to social development and environmental improvement."
Subsequently, curator PARISSA TEHRANIZADEH also introduced the relevant situation of the art exhibition. She stated that among the more than 20 works exhibited, students were able to use innovative thinking and professional skills to showcase the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature in unique ways. She hopes that visitors can enjoy this exhibition.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Vice President Feng Xiao also gave a speech, believing that the addition of Teacher Parisa TEHRANIZADEH has injected new vitality and momentum into international teaching. The diverse cultural backgrounds, international perspectives, and advanced academic resources they bring provide more possibilities for the growth and development of students, making important contributions to building an international brand and enhancing international influence for the school.
After the opening ceremony, leaders, guests, and representatives of teachers and students visited the exhibition together. Participating students also introduced their creative ideas and experiences.
