On the morning of March 15, 2024, Wei Peng, Director of the Industry Education Integration Office at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University, Professor Kong Jin, Dean of the School of Arts, Director Jiang Dan, Director of the Environmental Art Department, Teacher Liu Xiaoyu, and Counselor Xia Min went to Shengdu Decoration Company to deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, promote the special action of "visiting enterprises and expanding positions", and improve the quality of talent cultivation. They jointly planned for the future development of talent cultivation. Accompanied by the person in charge of Shengdu, the delegation from Zhongqiao University visited the company's work environment and product display area to gain a deeper understanding of product research and development, technological innovation, and market dynamics. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on their respective strengths and potential directions for future cooperation in their respective fields. During the exchange, both parties focused on the ways in which enterprises and university students can cooperate in internships and employment, and proposed that students be divided into batches for internships. In addition, Dean Kong Jin also proposed to send students to enterprises for long-term internships of six months or even a year. Enterprises will provide job internship content according to actual needs, and students can complete graduation projects in the enterprise, aiming to cultivate professional talents with more innovative practical experience. Through two-way selection, enterprises can expand relevant job positions while retaining outstanding talents, allowing students to receive practical training in the enterprise, laying a solid foundation for better practicing modern apprenticeship and the establishment of industrial colleges. Both sides hope to jointly build an industrial college, with the establishment of the industrial college as a carrier, aiming to promote the deep integration of education and industry, and cultivate more outstanding talents.
This visit and research activity not only provides more practical opportunities for internships and employment of fresh graduates from the School of Art, but also deepens the all-round cooperation and exchange between the School of Art and Shell Group Shengdu Decoration Company.
